My Mother's Death - Finding myself!
In 2009, life threw me a curveball that I never saw coming.
It was the year my world shattered into a million pieces
I have no one!
Talking to myself
My mother was no more – She passed away!
An anchor that kept our family ship steady was gone.
Little did I know!
I was about to embark on a journey of heartache, responsibility.
But ultimately - Self-discovery!
The days that followed were a blur of condolences and funeral arrangements.
But when the dust settled, the real challenge began.
I found myself burdened with family responsibilities
The well-being of my siblings
It was a tough pill to swallow
Almost unbearable at times
Financial struggles.
With the medical bills, funeral expenses, and the loss of my mother's income
Swimming against a current of debt
It felt like there was no light at the end of the tunnel.
Emotionally, the pain was relentless.
Grief is a cruel companion, lurking in the corners of your mind and heart, ready to pounce when you least expect it.
There were nights when I would lie awake, the silence echoing the void she left behind.
It was an emotional rollercoaster
Each item holding her memory threatened to engulf me.
----------------------------------
Amidst the chaos, I stumbled upon a lifeline.
At first, it seemed like an escape, a brief respite from the storm raging around me.
I found solace in the quiet moments.
Focusing on my breath as a way to momentarily silence the cacophony of emotions within.
It became my refuge, a sacred space where I could confront my pain.
Found the strength to face another day.
Meditation!
Became my daily ritual
A practice that allowed me to navigate through grief
It didn't magically erase the pain, but it gave me the tools to cope.
Slowly but surely,
I began to find a sense of peace amid the chaos.
The burden didn't vanish,
But I learned to carry it with a little more grace.
As the months passed, I discovered resilience within me that I never knew existed.
The struggles persisted,
But so did my determination to overcome them.
The financial hardships didn't disappear overnight,
But I found creative solutions and learned to live with less.
The grief didn't vanish,
But I learned to coexist with it through constant meditation.
Looking back
That dark period in my life became a catalyst for personal growth.
Through the tears and the heartache,
I emerged stronger
More compassionate
With a newfound appreciation for the fragility of life.
My mother's passing was a harsh teacher
But it also taught me the importance of resilience
The healing power of meditation
The enduring strength of the human spirit
Keep Meditating! It is a perfect therapy!
Keep smiling!
